Grenache Valley Excellence brings together an exclusive selection of fine wines from the South of France, with a special focus on young wine producers, small wine estates and organic wines.

We organise small and private tours of local wine estates located in one of the most beautiful Mediterranean wine growing regions in France, with the opportunity to meet the wine producers, visit their vineyards and see how they create some of the finest wines in the area.

ABOUT ME

I am Pascal de Poyen Bellisle, the founder of GRENACHE VALLEY EXCELLENCE; as a native from Guadeloupe, a french Caribbean Island, my family has always been involved in the wines and spirits business. With more than 11 years professional experience as the export manager for the family Quiot, one of the most established and famous wine businesses in Chateauneuf du pape in the southern Rhone Valley, I have looked for exciting wines around the world.

oday, my aim is to promote new wines from the Mediterranean wine growing area, produced by passionate, young and talented wine-makers. The shared values of the Grenache Valley Excellence wine makers are based on a commitment to Mediterranean wine culture and an undertaking to produce excellent wines using organic and/or sustainable cultivation and production methods. Family, friendship, the environment and excellence in wine are the hallmarks of our wine makers.

After arriving in Provence at the age of 18, I studied for my Masters in International Sales and Foreign Trade at the University of Aix-en-Provence, graduating in 2003. I have worked in the world of wine ever since. My wine business is inspired by the excitement of finding new wines created by small family estates that succesfully blend tradition with sustainable wine making for the future.

CLOS DE GARAUD

Near the foothills and the cycles routes of the famous Mont Ventoux, the MORARD-SAGNIER family estate comprises of 30 ha of vineyards located just outside the small village of Caromb, at the foot of Mont Ventoux. The family’s wine making history dates back to the 16th century; in 2015 Jérémy joined the family business and together with his uncles, Christian and Thierry, they founded « Clos de Garaud » wine estate.

DOMAINE DE LA JAUFRETTE

Located on the hills of the ancient Roman town of Orange, Domaine de la Jaufrette is a family wine estate with 25 hectares , located in the southern Rhone valley area. Frédéric CHASTAN is a passionate wine maker who took over his father a few years ago. Frédéric and his wife, Caroline, continue the family’s long established tradition of producing some of the best wines in the area.

DOMAINE MASNOU

Founded in 2011 by Jérôme Masnou, this family wine estate of 20 hectares is located in Espira de l’Agly, Vallée de l’Agly, between the Mediterranean sea and the Pyrenees chain. Commited to producing wines of the highest standard using organic farming methods, Jérôme is passionate about wine making… and also rugby!

DOMAINE LA MERCADINE

Comprising a beautiful family wine estate of 17 hectares at the foot of the Parc Regional du Verdon, Domaine La Mercadine is owned and managed by Lucie MOUTONNET-DEMIRDJIAN. The estate was founded by Lucie’s Grand-grandfather and then run by his grandfather and father; when Lucie took over her father, she adopted organic farming practices and took the opportunity to invest and reorganize the family wine producing business. It was a significant decision, yielding impressive white, rosé and red wines of character and distinction.

DOMAINE MONPLEZY

Nestled close to Pézenas, the hometown of Molière, this family estate covers 30 hectares within a NATURA 2000 area and forms part of the National Bird Protection League. Anne SUTRA DE GERMA and her Son Benoit GIL -SUTRA DE GERMA, manage both the estates and the wine production
